This year I am trying something new on for size, unprocrastination. This past weekend it went very very well, as I powered my way through a group of little projects that I had been planning for a while.
Today, it falls more into the distant memory category, all the kids and I are sick, it is a lie of the couch comatose while your children watch way too much T.V, kind of day. Not really aligned with the unprocrastination brand. Oh well, I will revel in my past achievements, it will make me feel like less of a slacker
Today we are survivalists
I found this old spice house at a garage sale for 50 cents last year on our walk home from the Santa Parade.
I painted it green and sanded it back a little bit and put some new labels (Cath Kidston) on the spice jars that survived. It is a little 'bakehouse' on my bench now, living beside my mixer with all the essential within arms reach, like sprinkles and vanilla essence. I heart it
Another tick off the list was project standard lamp. I have been after one forever, trawling op shops, trade me etcetera, then last year Mum found one sans shade at a vintage market for $25. It has been checked by an electrician and was in tip top shape, just headless and well truthfully a little ugly.
Painted birds are not so much my thing
Cream spray paint is where it's at
This gorgeous vintage lampshade was salvaged from the side of the road in last years inorganic rubbish collection, it was in perfect condition just needing a good clean. I looked for quite a while on TM, Ebay, Etsy and in op shops and could not find what I wanted, and then one day it was just sitting there on the side of the road. Me and my lamp were meant to be, I heart it.
I have a couple of other projects that are nearly finished, hopefully it will not be too long until the next burst of unprocrastination hits.

I love both of these projects. the lampshade is ace-what a find, love it when you find the exact, perfect thing you need, and for free!
Both projects are great. I like the green colour you chose for the first onw. But, that lamp shade is amazing. It is gorgeous! Cx
they're both gorgeous- I also have a standard lamp and shade begging for attention, might be time for me to un-procrastinate too : )
