This week Millie had her first ballet class and it was FAB. I had gone back and forth on enrolling her, she is so young, it is another expense we could do with out, at the beginning of this term we shelled out over $1000 in activity fees for the three of them, that is before we bought stationery, paid the school fees and got some new uniform items, as a friends said to me the other day, 'babies are cheap, it is the kid part that is expensive'. And I say us, but what I really mean is all our family, who so generously support our children in their different ways which are often financial, so that is the first thing I am loving this week, the generosity of family, financially and with their time.

So, I am so glad we went ahead with it, Millie just loved her class, everything about it, the teachers, the other girls, dressing up, dancing, it was a mega hit, she has asked me every day since " Can I go to ballet today?" It was made all the more special that John was able to come and watch too, I think he felt a little bit of a fish out of water surrounded by all the girlieness. Even I was slightly taken a back, this is a new world I am navigating, give me soccer practice any day and I know what to do with it, a room full of tutu clad preschooler was startling, they are entirely different creatures little girls, as Millie is teaching us, daily.

My only regret is that Nana Canada did not get to see her in her class, maybe next time.....

I do wish I could have seen it in person, but the essence is there in the pics. Millie looks so at home with it all and that makes me very happy for her.xoxo
